Believe it or not, we got snow here yesterday. Okay, so at our house all we really saw were flurries and some sleet/slush/freezing rain. On the road to Barstow there was about a foot and a half accumulated. The mountains have a bit of snow on them... likely gone today though. It's been in the 30's the past few days and really feels like were back in DC. I guess I should get used to it since Co Springs will be even colder and have more snow.
Speaking of which, we had our "stuff" delivered from storage today. We had about 2500 lbs (not the 5000 that we thought). One of the items was a slightly used/abused snow shovel. I'm sure everyone in my house remembers the old orange snow shovel... the one with the broken handle. I ended up with in at my condo in Falls Church. It managed to travel with us to Tacoma, then here to Ft. Irwin where it was sent to storage. It will now make the trip to Co Springs... someday it might go back home to DC :-)
Our move dates are pretty much set. We will get everything packed up on Dec 7th and picked up on Dec 8th. I will leave here on the 9th and drive to Co. Springs.
FYI: Athena and I go there to close on the house next week.... I'll forward pictures to Russ and maybe he can post them for me. Update... we got some more pictures this evening (23 Nov). I will forward them out to people so you can see what our new house will look like. The interior is almost 100% finished so we should be good to go for next week's walk through.
All for now!
Stay warm everyone!!!
Steve
