sisters

I have to share a funny story from the other day. I was at an all-county Men's Chorus event where every school sends 5 middle school boys, and 8 high school boys to sing all day with a famous guest conductor. My good friend Margie who used to be my roommate also teaches in the county at Jeb Stuart High SChool but used to teach at Hayfield. While she was at Hayfield I often accompanied for her concerts. One of her old students came up to her and said "Hey Miss Marbella, I saw your friend... didn't she used to live with you?" Margie responded that I had lived with her. He then asked her if we were sisters. At this time, I must relay the information to you that Margie is about 5 foot 2, Filipino, with black hair. Margie responded "Darrell, she's white". He said "What are you? Filipino or something? Well she looks like you". Margie then responded "Darrell, she has blonde hair" Darrell said "well I don't know, she looks like you anyhow" Darrell's friend Jamal then said, "Darrell, you a dumbass!" I guess all non-black people look alike:)

I'm going to be going to Sarasota Florida with Jeff for Thanksgiviing since his family lives there. It doens't hurt that it is in the 70's and 80's there right now:) I hope that you all have a happy thanksgiving!
