Best place to eat on Kauai

The night we landed in Kauai, we picked up the rental car and asked the attendent where to eat... she said "Barbecue Inn". It isn't fancy from the outside but the food is incredible and inexpensive. You get great food for your money!

Why did the chicken cross the road?

To get to the beach... obviously. For anyone that has been to Kauai, chickens are no surprise. As we drove out towards Ke'e Beach from Princeville, we stopped at this beach where we were greeted by a rooster. They are literally everywhere on the island. Our first day on the island we were forced to wake up at about 7:00a by the roosters coming through our condo complex. Fortunately they left us alone most of the rest of the week.

Early Morning in Colorado

This is the view of the mountains from Colorado Springs this morning. The moon was setting over the mountains as the sun was rising to the east. The temperature was about -2 F (-20 C). 

Hawaii Sunset - 26 Jan 2007

The final sunset for our trip to Hawaii. We spent 6 days in Kauai and flew to Honolulu on the last day. We rushed over to the Arizona memorial and made it to the last tour. Afterwards, we drove down to Waikiki and watched the sun set. Not too bad...

How real is HDTV?

Here's a picture of Bug watching his favorite TV show. Last week he suddenly took interest in what was showing on TV... a show called "Winged Migration" on Discovery HD Theater. He'll sit for 30-45 minutes watching the show.

09Dec - Colorado Hike

A couple of weeks ago I went with Dave and his friend Rob up near Mt Evans (west of Denver). We parked at about 9100 ft and then show shoed up a mountain to about 10400 ft. The picture is from about 1/2 way up looking down the trail.

Long time, no posts...

Well, it's been months again since anyone posted anything to the blog. I'll try to throw some pictures up there before Christmas so that everyone can get updated on what's been going on.
